FAQ | ODU-MAC® Black-Line

What is mass interconnect?

Mass interconnect systems are commonly used in electronic test and measurement setups to create a flexible and reliable interface between test equipment and the device under test.
These systems are known for their durability, modular design, and high level of customization — functioning much like a powerful and adaptable connection hub.

What are the key features of the ODU‐MAC® Black‐Line?

The products in the ODU‐MAC® Black‐Line are mass interconnect solutions for testing of PCBs and electronically assembled units. They serve as the interface between the device/unit under test and the test instruments. The tester side features the system interface (receiver), which is connected to the interchangeable test adapter (ITA) on the side that is under test. Discover the technical advantages here.

What can I transfer via a modular connector?

With a modular connector, different media can be flexibly combined and transmitted within one interface. These include signals, power, high-current, high-voltage, RF signals (coax), media such as air or fluids, as well as data transmissions and fiber optics.
